      • Our contract management service offers a full cleaning package for your school or academy. If you buy this service, we’ll take on the recruitment, day-to-day management and payment of cleaning staff for you.

        If your school or academy participates in the corporate cleaning contract you must buy this support package.

        Service Details

        We will:

        • advise you on your cleaning requirements
        • set up your cleaning contracts, making sure they are drafted, advertised, evaluated and awarded in line with the principles of best value
        • set up a fully auditable administration and payment system
        • pay regular visits to your school or academy to monitor and improve your service and give you feedback – if you need this feedback in writing, we will let you have a report within five working days of your request
        • manage your cleaning contract and develop good relationships between you and the contractor
        • make sure you get a prompt response to your queries, requests for advice and complaints
        • correspond with the contractor on your behalf
        • maintain accurate data and records of your premises
        • make any changes to your service provision that you request
        • help you interpret your contract – this includes arranging for changes to your contract when instructed by you and dealing with the contractor if they fail to meet the terms of the contract
        • make sure appropriate cleaning equipment is used at your school or academy
        • make sure all contracted staff are checked by the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB).

        The corporate contract runs from 1 April 2010 for a minimum of three years, with the option of a two-year extension. If you have not signed up for this contract yet you can join during this period. Please contact the Area Cleaning Team for further details.

        If you decide to arrange your own local cleaning contract we can still offer you some support and advice. We can also manage the cleaning contract on your behalf. Prices for this service vary according to the amount of support and contract management you need.
