We will:

• manage your waste and recycling contract to make sure your contractor gives you a high-quality, cost-effective service
• monitor your service to make sure the contractor complies with terms of the contract, including meeting agreed collection frequencies and recycling targets
• maintain accurate records of your waste disposal costs and tonnages
• administer payments to your contractor
• respond promptly to any complaints or requests for advice and assistance
• give you expert advice on reducing your school or academy’s waste
• support you to ensure that you comply with all relevant waste legislation.

Pricing

• Primary schools/academies – £90
• Secondary schools/academies – £240
• Special schools/academies – £90.

Funded Support

Funding for waste disposal and recycling is wholly delegated to schools and academies. You will only have access to our waste and recycling service if you have bought our service.

Our area advisory officers develop waste and recycling initiatives in schools and academies.

To get the most from this service you should:

• get advice from your senior contracts officer on your waste and recycling collection needs
• make full use of the information we give you from site visits.
