Testimonials
At Willingdon Community School we make good use of the topic loan service. Due to curriculum changes it is sometimes difficult to source appropriate books and borrowing from Schools Library Service enables me to maintain a good service to teachers by supplementing my own stock.

Service Details
Extra books for your money – following consultation with schools and academies, from 2012–13 we are changing the pattern of service delivery to fit with the academic year.
To provide continuity, all schools and academies who subscribed in 2011–12 will continue to receive our loan services for terms 5 and 6. Subscriptions for 2012–13 will run from September to July 2013. If you are a new subscriber we can supply books for terms 5 and 6 in 2012 at no extra cost.
Instant displays – these consist of a box of books and two to three artefacts on a theme. Subscribing schools and academies can select an instant display instead of one their regular topics.
A full subscriptions offers:
Topic books
You can borrow one volume per pupil (up to Year 11) three times a year. These may be renewed or exchanged at the end of term.
Loans contain both fiction and non-fiction books to support the curriculum. Find out more about topic books requests for secondary schools.
We deliver topic collections to schools and academies during the first two weeks of terms 1, 3 and 5. We collect them during the last two weeks of terms 2, 4 and 6.
Fiction loans
We can lend one volume per three pupils (up to Year 11) three times a year. If you are not using your full allocation of non-fiction we can offer additional fiction loans.
